Oklahoma was first staged on Broadway just after the invasion of Pearl
Harbor in the spring of 1943 It is now coincidence that the dates
correspond with what is happening in our world today. GOD BLESS THE USA=

This ALL AMERICAN musical was a RODGERS and HAMMERSTEINS smash from it'=
s
opening. Staged by the immortal Agnes De Mille,The Musical won The Puli=
tzer
prize
for Drama and Dance in Dec.1943 and then the Gold record award in 1976 =
It's
2,212 performances were a Broadway standard surpassed almost twenty yea=
rs
later in 1961 by "My Fair Lady"

Oklahoma opened to an arousing crowd at the W.C.C Friday in what proved=
 to
be a salute to American and it's heritage, From the ceremonial candle
lighting for the victims of the WTC before the curtain,  To the auction=
ing
of Laurie Williams (Annie Eble) and Ado Annie's Carnes (Marisa Tomasic)=

hampers, excitement and energy from this cast of 28 explodes on the sta=
ge.
"Kansas City" shows where Will Parker (Rick Mc Quigan) and 12 other men=

boot scoot to synchronized choreography. "The Farmer And The Cowman) st=
arts
Act II off with the spirit of the ensemble and acrobatic fast passed
movement staged by Richelle Dykstra Choreographer)her concepts of  Ball=
et,
Can-Can and Square Dance formations are something to be seen through ou=
t
the play.

John Krol (Music Director/Conductor) a figure here the last several yea=
rs
is known for his ability to arrange music to suit the singers range and=
 his
persona allows him the persistence to mold an ensemble to four parts of=
 one
in singing such favorites as "People will Say Were In Love", "I Can't S=
ay
No" and the showstopper "Oklahoma" a number that had the audience singi=
ng
in there seats. Curly Mc Clain's "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" is
beautifully sung by Joshua Senick and his counter part Jud Fry is domin=
ated
in performance by Chris Clark. The inspiration in the story comes from =
Aunt
Eller played by veteran actress Jeannette Fifolt most  who have seen he=
r in
this production have said this to be the quintessential role for her as=
 the
toughness of her voice changes to the heart felt loving relative of Lau=
rie
with the support of a most beautiful Soprano voice. let us not forget t=
he
performance of the showy Arnie Rodriguez (Andrew Carns) with his
interpretation of The Farmer And The Cow Man or the Persian satire that=

roles from the tongue of Joey Cayabyab (Ali Hakim)  This cast is truly
energized and looks for you to join in on the hoedown the final two wee=
ks
