Cocach House Takes "A Shot in the Dark"

Coach House Theatre's 74th season continues with "A Shot in the Dark", Harry
Kurnitz's adaptation of Marcel Achard's L'Idiote, a delightful blend of
mystery and suspense. On his first day on the job, Paul Sevigne, a new
magistrate finds himself investigating a murder involving one of the
wealthiest and most powerful families in Paris. the chief susupect: Josefa
Lantenay, the parlormaid, a good-heared and guileless child of nature who
all but confesses to the crime. But sensing her innocence, Sevigne delves
into the affairs (literally) of her employers Benjamin and Dominique
Beaurevers, to find the real killer. A "bubbly, saucy comedy (The New York
Times)," "A Shot in the Dark" is also an intriguing mystery, with a plot
that twists, turns and amuses.

"A Shot in the Dark" will be staged by Coach House Resident Director Jim
Fippin. Fippin's previous Coach House Productions include "6Rms Riv Vu,"
"Witness for the Prosecution," "Same Time, Next Year," "Chapter Two" and
"Betrayal." The company Fippin has assembled for "A Shot inthe Dark"

Stephan Collins as Benjamin Beaurevers; Linda Ferreire as Dominique
Beaurevers; Tim Bennett as Paul's trusty clerk, Morestan; Sarah Suscinski as

chief magistrate.

Coach House debug in this production. Ms. Ferreire's resume includes "The
Great School Whodunit," an audience participation murder mystery. Tim

Pittsburgh, has been seen locally at Aurora Community Theatre, Streetsboro
Theatre and The North Canton Playhouse. Mr. Bennett has appeared in

Suscinski is dividing her rehearsal time with the role of a first year law
student at The University of Akron. Ms. Suscinski's resume includes roles
in "You Can't Take It With You," "Hay Fever," "Big River" and "Jesus Christ
Superstar." Scott Shriner is returning to Coach House following his
