HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR EUGENE O’NEILL’S
THE HAIRY APE, DIRECTED BY DAVID HERSKOVITS

Cleveland Public Theatre is holding auditions for Eugene O’Neill’s The Hairy
Ape as directed by David Herskovits, Artistic Director of Target Margin
Theatre in NYC.  Auditions will be held on Saturday December 1, 2001 from
12:00pm to 5:00pm and Sunday, December 2, 2001 1:00pm – 5:00pm. at Cleveland
Public Theatre, 6415 Detroit Avenue. Seeking diverse ensemble of intelligent
performers comfortable with strange language and nimble with words. Please
prepare (and be completely comfortable with) a short non-contemporary
monologue, preferably American. This could be verse drama or Gertrude Stein
or Preston Sturges (or Eugene O'Neill), but please no Wasserstein or Shanley
or even Arthur Miller. Please call Jeff Syroney at CPT to schedule an

April 7, 2002 in the Gordon Square Theatre.
