MUSICARNIVAL
THE CLEVELAND PUBLIC LIBRARY
INVITES YOU
TO A RECEPTION
INTRODUCING A MAJOR NEW EXHIBIT
on
MUSICARNIVAL
CLEVELAND'S PIONEERING TENT THEATRE
When: Friday, November 30, 2001, at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Cleveland Public Library, Main Building, 3rd Floor
325 E. Superior Ave., Cleveland OH 44114
The exhibit celebrates the gift of extensive Musicarnival Archives donated
to the Cleveland Public Library by founding producer John L. Price, Jr., as
well as the gift that Musicarnival itself was to the people of Greater
Cleveland.
Included are photographs, programs, performers' contracts, props, set and
scene designs, business records, publicity materials, and other memorabilia.
The exhibit is on view now, and will be available until February of 2002.
At the reception, Musicarnival alumna Judith E. Daykin, Executive Director
of New York's City Center, will offer informal reminiscences of Musicarnival
days. As an added attraction, John Vacha will be on hand to sign copies of
his new book, Showtime in Cleveland: The Rise of a Regional Theater, which
includes an account of the Musicarnival years.
If you are able to join us for this event,
please call the Literature Department of the Library
at 216-623-2881 for reservations.
We look forward to seeing you there!
