Greetings and Salutations,
I am letting you know that there are paid choir positions for
music-reading tenors available at the
Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist on E 9th and Superior. Repertoire
consists largely of early music,
however, there is a significant share of Baroque, Classical, Romantic and
Contemporary music as well. The Cathedral is a
magnificent space in which to sing and Greg Heislman, the choral director,
does an excellent job of
preparing the choir. The schedule is as follows:
Typically, there are 2 masses sung on Sunday
(10:30am and 12:15pm with an arrival time of 10:00am)
and one rehearsal on Thursdays (6:00pm to 8:00pm).
If this is something you may wish to do, please contact Greg Heislman at
216-771-6666. The receptionist
will be able to connect you to his extension. Please feel free to contact
me as well. I can answer some
questions for you, however, I shall ultimately have to send you to Greg
Heislman for more details.
Please pass this along if you know of anyone who may be looking for a church
gig.
Best wishes. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
