Beck Center will hold auditions for one night only at
Karamu House for....

SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE
(The Songs of Leiber and Stoeller)

The auditions will take place at Karamu on Thursday,
February 7th at 7PM. Director/Choreographer Martine
Cespedes and Musical Director David Williams~~~ (Musical Director for the 
national tour of "Smokey Joe's") request that you prepare one song. You may 
choose any piece of pop or gospel, or a Broadway standard. Please bring sheet 
music in your key. An
accompianist will be provided.

"Smokey Joe's Cafe" features a cast of 5 Men and 4 Women. The 9 roles break 
down into 6 African-American and 3 Caucasian. Some of the featured types
include Black Female Gospel, Black Male slightly built Tenor , and White Male 
capable of an Elvis turn.

No appointments are needed, and all positions are paid. If you have any
