Red Hen Productions presents
CHERCHEZ DAVE ROBICHEAUX
by Nancy Wright and directed by Denise Astorino

Opening this Friday, March 1st!

Ever yearn for the warmth of southern climates and the smell of salt water
and Spanish moss? In the middle of a Cleveland winter, who could blame you?
Nola lives in a trailer park north of Elkhart. She yearns too.

Meet Nola Rhinderknecht, an agoraphobic Indiana housewife who may or may not
abandon her champion-bowler husband Bob. For five years Nola has rarely
left their mobile home. TV, the Book of the Month Club, and the Internet
keep her connected, more or less. Mostly, though, Nola seeks refuge in the
novels of James Lee Burke, whose recovering-alcoholic Cajun detective Dave
Robicheaux is her romantic hero. She decides to find him in the flesh.
(Never mind that he's a literary character.) On the road to New Iberia,
Louisiana, Nola becomes the involuntary travel partner of another fugitive
from reality. Elizabeth Bye Harkness and her multiple personalities lead
Nola into a Hoosier Wonderland where Fiction and Blind Faith confront Fear
and Regret. Guess who wins? The outcome will amuse and move you.

Featuring Kat McIntosh as Nola, Cat Kenney as Picket Pie, Julie Angel Saad
as Brittney, Spencer White as Bob and Paul Kaiser as Dee.

Playing Thurday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm at Spaces Art
Gallery on the west bank of the Flats, 2220 Superior Viaduct, March 1-23,
2002.

Tickets are $12 regular; $8 students/seniors

The Cleveland Play House proudly presents...

The Waverly Gallery
The Drury Theatre
Mar. 12, 2002 - Apr. 7, 2002

A drama by Kenneth Lonergan

Directed by Cleveland Play House Artistic Director, Peter Hackett

A heart-tugging and very funny drama about the twilight years of Gladys
Green, a former liberal firebrand attorney, now making a gradual descent
into another world.

As a new retiree, Gladys concentrates on running an anachronistic art
gallery in a dilapidated Greewich Village hotel. Despite the help and
tolerance of her family and a self-deluded artist friend, Gladys' situation
can only worsen. Told with great humor and compassion, The Waverly Gallery
is a thoughtful treatment of a subject that, in one way or another, touches
us all.

Gladys will be played by Ann Guilbert, last seen in The Cleveland Play
House World Premieres of Jerusalem and Touch the Names and best known for
her TV roles as Laura's friend and neighbor, Millie, on "The Dick Van Dyke
Show" and Fran Drescher's Grandama Yetta on "The Nany." Plain Dealer
Theatre Critic Tony Brown wrote Ms. Guilbert "...can rule the stage with a
raised forefinger."

Playwright/screenwriter Kenneth Lonergan is one of America's hottest
writers. He wrote the screenplay for Analyze This and was Oscar-nominated
for his work on You Can Count On Me.
