a performance carnival with food, poetry, drinks, dance, jazz, stories, new
music, stilt walkers, prizes and much more...  Come out and support your
local grassroots theatre makers.  All proceeds will benefit Strike Anywhere
Performance Ensemble and the NaCL Theatre.

THE GRITTY DETAILS: Featured that evening is: "10 Brecht Poems" -- A
performance piece developed and performed by Tannis Kowalchuk (NaCl) and
Leese Walker (Strike Anywhere).  The performance addresses, through Bertolt
Brecht's poignant poems, the struggle for humanity and dignity in times of
political oppression. The evening is going to be fabulously eclectic as we
will be joined by the white hot talents of: "Losing Limbs," A new one act by
Rob Henke for 2 guitars and 2 voices; "Waste of Red," a poetry performance
conceived by Larry Bogad; New Duet by dancers: Lindsey Dietz and Jason
Marchant, Original Compositions for flute and Bass: Jim Whitney and Michel
Gentile, "Pushing Sounds," improvisation between the raw elements of sound
and traditional jazz standards with Alan Brady (reeds) , Rob Henke
(trumpet), and Rolf Strum (guitar) and catch a prelude to NaCl's new OUTDOOR
performance "Invisible Neighborhood" which is opening this Spring 2002 in
parks and public spaces across New York City (free to all). Delicious hors
d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Richie McCall will be your fabulous host!  Please
come!  Party and jam to follow performances...
