The Ringmaster will present its first area arts showcase, Black Balloon, on 
Saturday April 20, 2002, at the Highland Theater.  It will include The 
premier of the original play of the same title, written, and directed by 
local playwright Charles E. Ciborek.  The play features performances by Bliss 
Foutty, Mandy Lasco, Jennifer Bowen, Gary Allard, G.A. Taggart, Justin Hale, 
Jasper Howard, Don Burrelli, and Charles Leonard. (The stage play will then 
move to a weekend run at the new Kent Stage in mid May)

Also appearing at the Highland will be will be musical acts ranging from pop 
to folk to rap ro rock.  Bands featured include Racermason, Shadow If, Whiz, 
as well as solo performances by Joey Beltram and Greg Julius featuring the 
music of Pull and Shot of M.  There will be a smal gallery showing featuring 
painting by Joe Ciborek, Greg Julius, and other local artists.  Tickets are
