    Friends, Romans, Countrymen=E2=80=A6Lend me your ears!  The Parma Senior=

School Drama Department is proud to present its spring musical production of=

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.   Heralded as Broadway's=20
greatest farce, this production is light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent and=20
one of the funniest musicals ever written =E2=80=93 the perfect escape from=20=
any of=20
life's troubles.  A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum takes comed=
y=20
back to its roots, combining situations from time-tested, 2000 year old=20
comedies of Roman playwright Plautus with the infectious energy of classic=20
vaudeville. The result is a non-stop laugh-fest in which a crafty slave=20
(Pseudolus) struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted=20
courtesan (Philia) for his young master (Hero), in exchange for freedom.=20

    With its unforgettable zany characters, a hysterical, perfectly=20
constructed book by=20
Larry Gelbart (of "MASH" and "City Of Angels" fame) and Burt Shevelove, and=20
witty Stephen Sondheim songs which you are sure to be humming on your way ou=

Way to the Forum boasts a talented cast of 18 members, including Johnny=20
Schwinn (Pseudolus), Patrick Clement (Hero), Kali Tarzanik (Philia), Hannah=20
Gammon (Domina), Zack Roveri (Senex), Mitch Cambareri (Hysterium), Brian=20
Tillinger (Miles Gloriosus), Jared Thomas (Erronius), Julie Zarko (Lycus), =20
and Megan Baucom, Katie Polace, and Elissa Ras as the prolific Proteans.  Th=
e=20
charismatic courtesans are played by Erika Rylow, Sammi Fousek, Christina=20
Paschyn, Larissa Paschyn, and Katie White, and assistant directors who added=

their valued expertise to this project include Bailie Kraiger, Daniella=20
Ponomarenko, and Keighty Coffey. =20
