OBERLIN, OHIO=3FBluegrass fiddle and mandolin virtuoso Sam Bush and
award-winning comedienne Margaret Cho will perform at Oberlin College later =
this month=3FBush on Saturday April 20 and Cho on Friday, April 26.
Both events will be held at 8 p.m. in the College=3Fs Finney Chapel, =
located
at the corner of West Lorain and North Professor Streets.
Tickets for the Bush concert are $12 and for Cho=3Fs, $15.
Perhaps best known as the founder and driving force behind the legendary
New Grass Revival, Bush was nominated for a Grammy for his work on
Bluegrass Mandolin Extravaganza and Short Trip Home. He has recorded and
toured with former NGR band mate Bela Fleck as well as with Lyle Lovett,
Emmylou Harris, Linda Rondstadt and Dolly Parton, among others.
Cho starred in the solo award-winning 1999 Off-Broadway show and film, =
I=3Fm
The One That I Want, and appeared in the film Face-Off and in a number of
Comedy Central specials. Her CD, The Notorious C.H.O. at Carnegie Hall, is
being released this year. She also has written and produced six visual
essays for the innovative PBS program Life 360.
Perhaps best known for his role as Margaret Kim in the TV sit-com, Cho is
working on a new show not quite like anything that=3Fs been on TV before. =
She
calls it =3Fvery new=3F and =3Fvery basic.=3F
