SAVE THE DATE NOV 3-10, 2002 OHIO INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL=20

For Immediate Release: April 12, 2002

Executive Directors, (216) 651-7315

Save the date for the 2002 Ohio Independent Film Festival & Market,=20
November 3-10 at Cleveland Public Theatre's Gordon Square Theater in=20
Cleveland, Ohio. The Ohio Independent Film Festival & Market is not=20
just the leading independent film event in Ohio but is the only film=20
Market in the region. Short films have been picked up for=20
distribution by companies such as Atom Films, AlwaysI, and Big Film=20
Shorts. The 2002 Ohio Independent Film Festival & Market marks our=20
16th festival.=20=20

Like many festivals, the Ohio Independent Film Festival & Market is a=20
curated and internationally recognized line-up of first-class=20
independent films from around the world. "We were honored to be=20
included in such a great mix of short films---probably the most=20
enjoyable short program I've seen at any festival this year,"=20
comments Jeff Bemiss, director of "The Book and the Rose" from our=20
2001 festival.

But here's what is unique about our festival: we only accept film and=20
video submissions WITHOUT theatrical distribution and we program the=20
entire festival from submissions. "[The OIFF] allows films that=20
don't always get shown to be shown=85 is a true asset in the indie
film community," says Alan Mackulin, director of "The Inheritance"=20
from our 2001 festival. Additionally, personal feedback from=20
programmers on your film will be available to every film and video=20
entrant.=20=20

Please visit http://www.ohiofilms.com/ for information on submitting=20
your film, video and/or screenplay.
