GYPSY 83 tells the tale of two Sandusky, Ohio misfits (SARA RUE -- POPULAR, 
PEARL HARBOR and KETT TURTON -- DEAD LAST, ROLLERCOASTER) who dream of fame 
and fortune in New York City.  When they hear about the "Night of 1,000 
Stevies" (an actual New York Stevie Nicks tribute event), they jump in their 
car and head for Gotham.  Along the way they meet a weary lounge singer 
(KAREN BLACK), a closeted frat boy (PAULO COSTANZO -- ROAD TRIP, 40 DAYS AND 
40 NIGHTS) and a runaway Amish (ANSON SCOVILLE).

GYPSY 83 was awarded GRAND JURY BEST ACTOR at Outfest 2001, GRAND JURY PRIZE 
at Washington DC's Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and BEST NEW DIRECTOR at 
2001 Seattle Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

The screening is a sneak preview benefit to help the filmmakers pay for music 
licenses.
