Red Hen Productions Announces Auditions For Waving Goodbye

Red Hen Productions, Cleveland's Feminist Theatre, will host open auditions 
for the Cleveland premier of Waving Goodbye by Jamie Pachino.

Auditions will be held at Loganberry Books, 12633 Larchmere Blvd., one block 
north of Shaker Square, on Monday, August 5 at 7:00 p.m.,  and  Tuesday, 
August 6 at 7:00 p.m.   Modestly paid positions for roles in this full 
production will require at least four weeks of rehearsal and four weekends of 
performance.  Directed by Harriett R. Logan, Artistic Director of Red Hen.

Seeking:  one 17 year-old female, one 17 year-old male, two 40+ year-old 
females, one 40+ year-old male.  Open Casting.  Any Sculptors or Mountain 
Climbers out there?  Actors will read from the script and are invited, but not 
required, to perform a short monologue.  

Also seeking:  Light Designer.

The Play:  The story of Lily Blue, a 17 year old photographer who loses her 
father in a mountain climbing accident, and must spend her 17th year with the 
mother who abandoned her. Taking place in the past and the present, Waving 
Goodbye  is also about loss, grief, change, making art, being stalled, wishing 
things were different, moving forward, first love, not turning into your 
mother, and those irrevocable moments after which nothing is the same.

Performances will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. 
October 3-26, 2002 at Pilgrim UCC Church, 2592 W. 14th Street, in Tremont.
