CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM TO PRESENT THE UNSEEN HAND=20

AT THE LIMINIS IN TREMONT

=20

=20

Hot on the heels of their successful inaugural run of Quills, =
convergence-continuum is about to open their second show, Sam Shepard's =
The Unseen Hand. For this production, the company's intimate, =
storefront theatre, The Liminis, has been reconfigured and transformed =
to immerse the audience in the experience of some surprising, weird and =
wonderful phenomena on the outskirts of the city of Azusa, where the =
motto is "everything from A to Z in the USA."

The Unseen Hand is full of novel, surprising, and even outrageous stuff. =
Unlike Shepard's later, more realistic plays (True West, Fool for Love, =
etc.), this earlier, seldom-produced play is raw and outlandish. The =
list of characters gives an indication -- three cowboy brothers (two of =
them long dead), an alien from another galaxy and a cheerleader. And to =
make it even more interesting, director Clyde Simon =
(convergence-continuum's Artistic Director) has added live, on-stage =
music to his up-close-and-personal staging of the play, which will take =
the audience on a wild ride to Azusa, across the USA and to the galaxies =
beyond.=20

The ensemble cast features convergence-continuum's Executive Director, =
Brian Breth, as Willie the Space Freak; Tim Coles, Steve Needham and =
Josh Spencer as the Morphan Brothers; and Geoff Hoffman as the Kid.

The Unseen Hand opens October 18 and will run Thursdays, Fridays and =
Saturdays through November 9. All performances begin at 8pm. Admission =
is $12 general and $9 for students and seniors. For information and =
reservations call 216-687-0074. The Liminis is located at 2438 Scranton =
Road in Cleveland's historic Tremont neighborhood. Seating for this =
production will be limited to 45.
