Just in time for Native American History Month in November....Pocahontas On 
Trial

WHAT: Pocahontas On Trial (Benefit for Kulture Kids), written by Hegeota (of 
Mohawk descent), directed by Seabright McCabe (most recently directed at Fine 
Arts Theater in Willoughby), featuring live music by Native American flautist 
Michael Searching Bear Smallridge (www.searchingbearflutes.com) and local 
singer/composer Andrew Rothman on November 2nd.
WHO: Kulture Kids (featuring a combination adult/child cast, partial list 
below)
WHERE: CWRU's Gund Hall (the law school) and Cleveland Heights Courtroom 
(opening comments by Heights Judge A. Deane Buchanan on November 7th)
WHEN: November 1 and 2 at CWRU, November 7 and 8 at Cleveland Heights City 
Hall Municipal Court, all shows at 8 PM
WHY: Using new and historically accurate information from Chief Roy Crazy 
Horse, leader of the Powhatan nation, this show debunks the Disney version of 
Pocahontas as well as other modern myths.  Show is also performed during the 
school year BY students and FOR students at Cleveland-area schools.

CAST includes: 
* Kelly Holt, Professor Emeritus of the CWRU Theater and Dance Department as 
both Chief Roy Crazy Horse and Chief Powhatan (Pocahontas' father).
* Laura Wittenberg, most recently of the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival and 
graduate of CWRU's Theater program, as the Prosecuting Attorney.
* Bernice A. Bolek, member of last year's production of Peter Pan at the 
Great Lakes Theater Festival, as the Judge.
* Bill Merrick, local stage/TV/film actor (SAG/AFTRA), most recently at 
Dobama Theater and The Beck Center), as John Smith
* Vivian Liu, Cleveland Play House actress and film performer (The Ignorance 
and Absence of Gerard, a CWRU student film), as the Defense Attorney.
* Jill Koslen, Beachwood Community Theater Director, as CNN Reporter Rebecca 
Smith.
* Philip Fragassi: MetroHealth pediatrician and local actor from Fine Arts in 
Willoughby, as both King James AND Disney CEO Michael Eisner
