OFFICAL HIP HOP FOR LIFE RELEASE PARTY AT SPY 

CLEVELAND, OH -- Velocity Production’s Hip Hop 4 Life will be released on video on October 22, 2002. Rentals will be available at area Blockbuster and Hollywood Videos stores. Directed by David Velo Stewart’s Hip Hop 4 Life is the story of an up-and-coming MC that was filmed in Cleveland and highlights local talent that includes Q-Nice, Danielle Green and George Baynard Jr. Copies of the film maybe purchased at Blockbuster.com or YorkEntertainment.com.

The official release party will also be held on October 22nd at Spy, 1281 W. 6th Street, Cleveland, OH, at 9:00 P.M. Highlights from Hip Hop for Life will be shown in addition to a preview of the director’s most recent film entitled Cane and Abel. The director, cast and crew will be on hand to answer questions about the film.

David Velo Stewart is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. In January of 2000 Stewart started Velocity Productions LTD, a small entertainment business that specializes in disc jockeying and videotaping events. The company also owns the website HipHopBattle.com. Hip Hop for Life is Cleveland’s first digital film to be accompanied by a soundtrack and an interactive website. The film premiered at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and was accepted into the Sundance Film Festival (2002), the Hollywood Black Film Festival (2002), the Cleveland International Film Festival (2002) and Acapulco Black Film Festival (2001).
