Indie Cleveland is building a Task Force of individuals dedicated to making Cleveland a movie community. The issue, along with others, will be discussed at the last meeting for 2002 which is an Open Forum.

The Meeting is Monday, November 25, 2002 at 7pm at the Warrensville Library at 22035 Clarkwood Pkwy, Cleveland, OH 44128-4885. The meeting is free and open to everyone. See The Website for details.

Below is More Info about the Requirements for those who wish to be part of the Task Force

"In Hollywood, you can die of encouragement."
Raymond Chandler.

Well, that can be applied to the entire movie industry. Often times when working on a project, we get words of encouragement, but no real assistance. Well, in order to succeed as a movie community here, we need more than encouragement, we need individuals willing to work at building the resources for indie moviemakers.

Indie Cleveland is forming a Task Force to help promote the indie movie community here. The Task Force should consist of people who have credentials and are willing to take some time away from their own projects to strengthen the image of all of us here and build resources for moviemakers in this city. Each person would have to actively do something toward this endeavour.

It would be like sort of the Knights of the Round Table. If one can draw the allegory with making this a real movie community with that of the holy grail. Believe me, making movies here is just as difficult as searching for the grail. There would be no King, just hard working knights willing to be in service to the artistic community here.

Each knight would use their strengths and have to be dedicated to making it better for all of us here.

If anyone wants to be part of this, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Alex P. Michaels
