REMINDER . . . 

WAKE UP And LIVE's Actors' Studio  is . . .

Seeking  actors for  its "'Prelude to Performance' and 'PlayActs,' Staged 
Readings Showcase."

All roles available for teens, women & men, ages 16 - 65+.

       Especially need: 
       . African-American Female actors who can play ages 40-65+ with some 
ability  
         to sing. 
       .  Male and female actors who can play age range from late teens - to 
- 
          young, & middle age adults. 

Auditions, Thursday, Dec. 19th, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM by appointment.

Come prepared to read from scripts.  Contemporary monologues encouraged.  
Bring head shot & resume.

"Chuck Patterson's Scene Study and Monologues: 
A Master Acting Class for Serious Actors"

Mon. Jan. 13th, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
& 
Sat. Jan. 18th, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Chuck Patterson is back in Cleveland to give area actors an opportunity to 
learn Monologue and Scene Study techniques which will help them get cast in 
professional theatres, locally, regionally and nationally. 

Chuck, a New York actor/director and Artistic Associate with the Cleveland 
Playhouse, will teach actors how to:
.  Make 'good' Monologue choices 
. Create a 'process' to approach your work and discover your character.
. Solve 'actors problems'  which arise in Monologues and Scene Work

This 2-session, 6-hour workshop for serious actors will be held at Tri-C 
Eastern, Studio Theatre, East 2 Building, 4250 Richmond Road, Highland Hills. 


Monday, January 13th, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM 
-and-
Saturday, January 18th, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Actors must pre-register so that they can prepare a one or two-minute 
contemporary or classic monologue, and select scene study partners to 
rehearse on-stage scenes in the sessions.  

This is the third time that Chuck has led the popular "Scene Study & 
Monologue" workshops since he has become a familiar figure on the Cleveland 
theatre scene where he has cast Cleveland-area actors in his productions at 
Cleveland Playhouse.

Last season, Chuck directed the Amen Corner featuring local actors and this 
season, he directs Crumbs From the Table of Joy, which opens February, 7th.
   
As Associate Artist at CPH the past three seasons, actors and audiences will 
remember Chuck for directing the highly acclaimed Two Trains Running, Blues 
for an Alabama Sky and the Amen Corner.

In recent years, Chuck,AEA,  has been seen in  Cleveland Playhouse 
performances as Dr. William Chumley in Harvey and Juror 10 in Twelve Angry 
Men.

Chuck's extensive Broadway, off-Broadway, national & regional stage, TV & 
film credits include Death of a Salesman (w/George C. Scott), The Five 
Heartbeats (opposite Diahann Carroll), Law & Order, New York Under Cover, and 
the award-winning AMC special, The Royale.  Chuck's many acting/directing 
credits include his works at The New Federal Theater, the Lambs Theater, The 
Negro Ensemble Company and the Medicine Show Theater.

Chuck was Artistic Consultant and Resident Director for Theater of Universal 
Images, Newark, New Jersey for three years, serving as Artistic Director for 
two.  While there, his directorial credits include, Ain't Supposed To Die A 
Natural Death, and Crispus! A Musical, which he also co-authored.

Chuck is looking forward to returning as Guest Artist Instructor and working 
with the many talented local actors and acting students from the Sue Johnson 
WAKE UP And LIVE's Actors' Studio and Brian Zoldessy's Theatre Arts 
Department, Tri-C Eastern.  

When asked about the content of his Scene Study and Monologues Master Class, 
Chuck says that "I will be sharing my own approach based on my many years as 
an actor, and more recently as a director." He tells actors, "You will learn 
how to create a process to approach your work.  Utilizing scene text, you 
will discover your character  --  who you are & what your style is." 

Fee:  $65.00    Non-union Registration received by Wed., Jan. 8th.
