Hi!

I received this today and thought everyone might want to take a look:

This is a special edition of the Whatsonstage.com Email News - we knew you
wouldn't want to wait for the latest information on this year's Laurence
Olivier Awards. The nominees, across 23 categories, are announced today -
with a few new and revised categories.

After last year's complete omission of a Best New Musical category, this
year sees extremely strong contention from Bombay Dreams, Chitty Chitty Bang
Bang, Our House and Taboo - though, notably, *not* Queen's We Will Rock You
which has proved one of this year's biggest blockbusters despite its
critical panning.

Company-wise, there's good news for the National Theatre, dominating once
again this year with 21 nominations in total, as well as for the Donmar
Warehouse, which has received nine nominations.

Log onto Whatsonstage.com now, where you'll find a full list of the 2003
Laurence Olivier nominations and, posted shortly, our in-depth news
analysis - that's at http://www.whatsonstage.com . Winners for this year's
Oliviers will be announced on Friday, 14 February 2003 at the Lyceum
Theatre.

In the meantime, you can still cast your own vote for the best of the past
year's theatre in our own Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards. Over
13,000 theatregoers have already voted in the only London theatre awards in
which the audience is the ultimate judge. Voting closes on 31 January 2003,
with winners announced the first week in February.
