Porthouse Theatre Holds “A Season of the Heart”
Love Story Contest
Kent, Ohio – Calling all romantics! Porthouse Theatre, Akron-Cleveland’s premiere professional summer theatre, is hosting a “Season of the Heart” love story contest. Whether participants have a blind date saga, a whimsical love affair tale, or a love-everlasting, ‘til-death-do-we-part story to share, Porthouse wants to hear it. The only requirement is that this whirlwind romance has to have originated from the theatre.
Porthouse Theatre has been providing its intoxicatingly romantic surroundings to visitors for 35 years, and this summer’s “A Season of the Heart” will be no different. This year’s season includes the singular sensation, “A Chorus Line”; Oscar Wilde’s hilarious romantic comedy, “The Importance of Being Earnest”; and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Tony award-winning musical “Oklahoma!”.
Submit your G-rated love story to Porthouse Theatre by February 7, and your story will automatically be entered in the “Season of the Heart” contest to win a 2003 Porthouse Theatre subscription (valued at $90.) The most unique story about how the theatre played a part in your romance will be chosen.
Email your “Season of the Heart” love story to emadden at kent.edu or mail to: Attn: Elisabeth Madden, Porthouse Theatre, B141 Music and Speech Center, Kent, Ohio 44242-001 by February 7, 2003. Please include your name, phone number, email and mailing address. The winning person or couple will be notified by March 1.
