Hi cyberfriends -- Just a note to let you know about several big events I
have going on in March:

- On March 3 at 8 pm, my newest musical BECOMING GEORGE is getting its
first full concert reading in Chicago at the Royal George Theatre. Radical
writer George Sand is tired of the fight. Can Sarah Bernhardt and Dumas the
Younger convince her to return to the theatre one more time with a play
about her life? And will it matter, with a war coming and a revolution
brewing in Paris? A new musical features the world's most prolific female
author testing whether her notoriously unconventional life has made a
difference.

We've been developing this musical over the past 2 years under the auspices
of Chicago Musical Theatre Works, and can't wait to hear it with this
fabulous cast: William Brown, Sara Davis, Steve Hinger, Kat Taylor, Nancy
Voigts, and Jonathan Weir. More details on the CMTW website:
http://www.cmtw.org/newsevents.html

- On March 6, my play THREE THE HARD WAY opens at the New Edgecliff Theatre
in Cincinnati, Ohio. This comedy/drama of 3 unconventional sisters dealing
with their gambler father's funeral is my most produced piece -- this will
be its 12th full production. It runs Thurs-Sun through March 23. I'll be
attending the March 13th (Thurs.) performance, which includes a reception
and talkback with members of Cincinnati's Women's Theatre Initiative.
Details at: http://www.newedgecliff.com

- On March 9th in Cleveland I'll be making a rare on-stage appearance in
the Cleveland V-Day benefit reading of Eve Ensler's THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES
at Cleveland Public Theatre, directed by Randy Rollison. Details: (216)
631-2727.

If you're in town and able to attend one of these events, please let me know.

I recently had several pieces of good news on the publishing front:

- My short play A RUSTLE OF WINGS will be included in the new Vintage Press
anthology TAKE TEN II: NEW 10-MINUTE PLAYS, edited by Eric Lane and Nina
Shengold -- publication is scheduled for fall '03.

- My one-act MARLA'S DEVOTION will be the featured drama selection in the
Winter 2003 issue of LODESTAR QUARTERLY, an on-line journal of lesbian,
gay, and queer literature. www.lodestarquarterly.com

Hope all is well with you -- stay warm and dry.

Cheers,
Linda Eisenstein
