Near West Theatre is seeking mature, character actors to fill the following=20
roles in their upcoming production of ZORBA!

            ZORBA: hedonistic, lusty, voracious & audacious -- he          =20=
   =20
        lives life to the fullest, soaking up the                          =20=
   =20
vibrancy that each moment of living brings

            HORTENSE: innocent, fragile, delusional, bawdy with a          =20=
   =20
              heart of gold --she is a French courtesan                    =20=
   =20
      who yearns for love and her long lost                                =20=
 =20
beauty

            NIKOS:  passionate, wounded, poetic, repressed -- an           =20=
   =20
        academic who lives in his head, afraid to                          =20=
   =20
jump into life and love.

PLUS a large chorus who inhabit a small Greek village, dance freely, sing=20
fully and are essential to the this dramatic tale of LIFE!

this is a different venue from NWT's performance space

This is a group audition that requires no preparation -- be ready to move,=20
participate in group exercises, to sing, explore the text and enter the worl=
d=20
of this amazing work. All individuals should arrive 15 minutes early to=20
register. Auditions begin promptly at the designated times. Participants=20
should wear comfortable clothing that doesn=E2=80=99t restrict movement.  Fo=
