Several people have asked me for directions to Boulevard Theatre, an adult
community theatre in Shaker Heights. This is the last weekend to see John
Patrick Shanley's comic folktales
Italian American Reconciliation
& The Red Coat
The shows are at Woodbury School, 15400 South Woodland Road, which is 4
blocks west of Lee Road in Shaker Heights. The final performances are Friday
3/7 and Saturday 3/8 at 8 p.m.
To get there from the northeastern suburbs:
- Take I-90 W toward Cleveland, merge to I-271 S toward Columbus.
- Exit Brainard Road toward Cedar. Turn right onto Cedar, drive past
Beachwood Place about 4.5 miles to Lee Road.
- Turn left on Lee and go about 1.75 miles to South Woodland Road. Turn
right, go 4 blocks. You will pass Woodbury School on your left.
- Turn right at Woodbury Road, just past the school. Turn left into the first
driveway, which is the parking lot.
- Park in lot or on Woodbury Road. From the parking lot, enter the glass
enclosed breezeway at Doors L or M, go left up the ramp or stairs, left at
the end of the hall, up the stairs and around to the auditorium. An elevator
is also available.
To get there from the northwest suburbs:
- Take Route 2, which becomes I-90E toward Cleveland.
- Exit Chester Road, turn right on Chester.
- Go about 3 miles to Stokes Blvd, which is just past E. 105th. Turn right
onto Stokes (when it becomes diagonal, it becomes Fairhill Blvd.) to Coventry
Blvd.
- Turn right on Coventry to Shaker Blvd. Turn left onto Shaker Blvd.
- Go to Lee Road (the 5th light). Turn right on Lee to next road, which is
South Woodland. Turn right on South Woodland, go 4 blocks to Woodbury School
and follow directions above in green.
To get there from the southwest suburbs:
- Take I-480 E. Merge onto US-422 and then head toward I-271 N/ERIE
- Exit 271 at Chagrin Blvd.
- Turn left on Chagrin to next major intersection, Richmond Road (look for BP
Station on the corner at your right). Turn right on Richmond and go about
1/2 mile to next major light at South Woodland.
- Turn left on South Woodland, and drive 4.5 miles to Woodbury School.
Follow directions above in green.
To get there from Akron:
- Take OH-8 N to I-271B toward Erie. Exit 271 at Chagrin Blvd. Follow
directions for Southwest Suburbs and then follow directions above in green.
NOTE: SOME OF THE DIRECTIONS MAY SEEM A LITTLE OUT OF THE WAY, BUT THEY ARE
MOST DIRECT, AND (I HOPE) LEAST CONFUSING
For advance tickets, call 216-491-1295 M-Sat. 9-5. Credit card purchase is
available in advance but NOT at the door. Tickets are $10/$8 for seniors or
students with i.d.
