February 14th, the short version of Emmy winning writer Alex P. Michaels' movie "The Hot Rain" was seen as part of the Foxgrape Film Series. The full version of the story has not been seen in this country. Until now. The hour long version of the story is available as a Video Compact Disc (VCD) at
http://www.cafeshops.com/prelude2cinema
This is a gritty, raw, indie movie loosely based on Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo." The VCD should play on most desktop DVD players or on a computer with WinDVD or PowerDVD. "The Hot Rain" stars Ali Anderson, Alex P. Michaels, Eric Coble and Lourdes Tolliver. It is only $8.99 plus shipping and handling.
The movie features a haunting rhythm and blues/jazz soundtrack and even a more haunting story about loving, dying and loving again. Pick up your copy today at the Prelude2Cinema Studio Store at

>From a review of Kalman Balaoghs latest recording. Aroma (2003):
Kalman Balogh plays the cimbalom - a 125 string hammered dulcimer with a breathtaking level of virtuosity. The music of his group, The Gipsy Cimbalom Band, is a great meeting of different musical genres. Grounded in traditional Hungarian Gypsy music, the ensemble searches for those association points, through which it is possible to interpret what might seem from many other points of view diverse music. Due to the high level of their technical ability with their instruments their imaginative ideas are effortlessly realized. Their music, like Gypsies, crosses boundaries; traditional tunes merge seamlessly in the hands of these accomplished musicians as they swerve from style to style, constantly improvising around the main theme. This band is guaranteed to put a spring in the step, bring a smile to the face and refresh the appetite of even the most jaded musical palette.
