			*	Celebrating the life and work of W.E.B. DuBois.  W.E.B. DuBois was =
a civil rights leader, a pioneer in sociology, and author of The Souls =
of Black Folk.  This year, marks the 100th anniversary of that book's =
publishing and is just one of the contributions being recognized in the =
community-wide celebration: "The Soul of W.E.B. DuBois: Celebrating the =
Genius of an American Scholar." Dr. Regennia Williams from Cleveland =
State University visits APPLAUSE to discuss DuBois and the events =
honoring him. =20

			*	Curtain Call.  For over fifty years, some of the biggest stars of =
the American stage have passed through Cleveland...leaving their "mark" =
on the curtain at the Hanna Theater.  From simple signatures, to =
detailed drawings, this simple cloth has become a priceless piece of =
theatrical history.

			*	Musical Heritage.  Michael Searching Bear, is one of only a very =
few full-time Native American flute makers in the world. He discovered =
the melodious sounds of the wood flute while researching his Native =
American heritage.  Once the music of the past found him, Michael knew =
he had to honor his Cherokee culture by keeping the sound alive.
