Cleveland Public Library Presents an Afternoon with Tony Kushner.
Sunday, March 30, 2003 at 1:30 PM.

One of the most important plays in American Theater, Kushner's Angels in
America, has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize, two Tony Awards, two Drama
Desk Awards, the New York Critics Circle Award, and many others.  Angels in
America was selected by London's National Theatre as one of the ten best
plays of the 20th Century.  He is the author of a number of other plays, and
Homebody/Kabul is among his current theatrical projects.

A Special Performance will Open this Program
Working with a group of HIV-positive and HIV-affected actors, the AIDS
Taskforce of Greater Cleveland has taken the brief text of "A Prayer,"
(Kushner, 1994) and interwoven stories of living with HIV/AIDS in Cleveland.
As "living theatre," this simple performance piece confronts AIDS in its
vast, existential dimensions and through the small, intimate details of
everyday lives.

This event is taking place in the Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium of the Main
Library
