Prelude2Cinema and Indie Cleveland wishes to thank the participants of “Movies Are Taxing Too!” held Sunday April 13th

Bill Alexander for showing the trailer to his movie “The Shades”

Aaron Cox for showing his demo reel of graphic designs and Indie movies.  Aaron will be working with Prelude2Cinema on the creation of the “Dark” for the TV Series “Out of Darkness” His company, Ae creations handles design and photography (flyers, business cards, headshots, special events, etc.)

Rachel Madorsky of the Second City Comedy team for donating a pair of passes that were raffled off for the Second City legendary sketch comedy and improvisation. The Plain Dealer calls it “gut busting material.”  Showtimes are Wed., Thurs. and Sunday at 8pm and Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and 10pm. There is a full bar and dinner menu.  For tickets, go to.

Alex Morrison of the Foxgrape Film Series for showing movies from independent filmmakers (including his award winning movie “Mighty Like a Rose”).

George and Maureen Phillips for donating food to the event. George will be playing Dr. Lugner in “Out of Darkness.”

Prelude2Cinema for showing the teaser and trailers from “The Hot Rain,” “Blood Kiss: Soul of a Woman,” “Little Girl,” and “I Dare You to Kill Her.”  The first movie “The Hot Rain” is available at Prelude2Cinema’s studio store along with merchandise based on the other movies.  Prelude2Cinema also gave out one of the raffle prizes.  The “Show Biz” Raffle price included: a pair of the sunglasses, a mini-phone, the Hollywood issue of Vanity Fair and the book “The Idiots Guide to Filmmaking.”

Prelude2Cinema also showed the teaser for its’ TV Series “Out of Darkness” and had a mock set up of the 7th District Police Station.  The downstairs area of United Martial Arts will be the actual set for the 7th District and finishing on the pilot for the series will begin anew Sunday April 20th.  The pilot expects to wrap next Month (new scenes are being added and shot). “Out of Darkness” will begin shooting this summer.

Antoinette Tredanary for her wonderful sultry voice. She sung a few old standards accompanied by Dr. John Petrone on the piano. Antoinette also gave out CD gifts.

Special thanks to Master Michael Selmon and Earl Brantley and all the staff of United Martial Arts for the use of their space and for demonstrating their special style of martial arts. They teach martial arts techniques that can be done in your everyday clothes. United Martial Arts can also choreograph fight scenes for movies.  United Martial Arts is at 5074 Warrensville Center Road.  Earl Brantley will be appearing as Richard Jones in “Out of Darkness.”  He performed martial arts moves while dancing in a suit. He also took someone pretending to attack him down to the ground and didn’t even muss his clothes (you had to be there to see it).
