INTRODUCING
MELODY MAKERS

The Melody Makers is a new vocal performance group being piloted by Lisa 
Paynter, Acting Class Coordinator for the North Canton Playhouse, Center for 
the Performing Arts, and will be holding

AUDITIONS

WHEN:   Sunday, May 4th, at 6:00 p.m.
WHERE:  The North Canton Playhouse, Center for the Performing Arts
            Located on the campus of Hoover High School, 7th St., N. Canton
WHO:        This performance group is for children ages 5 - 12 years of age

Audition Requirements:
Each child must come prepared with a memorized song, no longer than 1-1/2 
minutes in duration please.  Accompanist will be provided or you can bring 
your own, or a tape cassette player will be provided if your accompaniment is 
recorded.  If your child plans on auditioning please notify the instructor, 
Mrs. Lisa Paynter, at 330-966-7710.

Description Of Melody Makers:
This group brings a unique offering to the youth in our community.  The first 
pilot session of this program will take place as a 10-week session, meeting 
two weekdays per week, from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., June 9 - August 14.  At the 
conclusion of the session, the children will have a minimum of 3 performances 
in our local area.  Children will perform musical numbers showcasing their 
vocal talents as well as musical theatre movement.

COST:  $160.00 per student / 10 week session. (This amounts to approximately  

         $8.00 per class)

Instructor:  Lisa Paynter has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts.  She is the 
Acting Class Coordinator for the North Canton Playhouse, a member of the 
Board of Trustees, Artistic Board, Spotlight on Youth program, and has 
directed and acted at the NCP for 27 years.

On a personal note:
I was a member of a group such as this in the North Canton area when I was a 
youth, and look forward to offering the same kind of joy in performing that I
