CLEVELAND PUBLIC THEATRE HOLDS

SECOND ROUND OF AUDITIONS FOR NEW POLITICAL MUSICAL SATIRE:

DISCORDIA

May 3 and 5, 2003

Cleveland, OH – Cleveland Public Theatre holds open auditions for Discordia,
a new political musical satire written by James Levin & Linda Eisenstein and
directed by CPT Resident Director Raymond Bobgan to be performed during its
2003-04 season.

Seeking men and women of all types, especially actors of color, over the age
of 18. The audition will consist of a 45-minute group work session with the
director followed by the performance of individual songs and prepared
monologues. Auditioners should prepare one contemporary monologue and one
contemporary musical theatre song and be dressed to move. Auditioners should
bring sheet music, as live accompanist will be provided. No a cappella
auditions, please.

Audition dates are on Saturday, May 3, 2003 at 11:00am – 1:00pm. Sessions
will be limited to 20 auditioners and will last approximately two hours.
Auditioners should be present the whole time. A second session of 20
auditioners will be held on Monday, May 5, 2003 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
Callbacks will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The
production will run from October 17 - November 8, 2003.
