AUDITIONS ANNOUNCEMENT -- THE MAPLELEAF THEATER COMPANY

We need 2 women & 5 men - ages 18 - 50, for the productions
of:
THE LOBBY HERO -and- KINGDOM OF EARTH
by Kenneth Lonnergan by Tennessee Williams
Performance dates: Fridays and Saturdays, June 13 - 28
July 18 - Aug. 3rd
To be directed by Steve Ritchey.
Stipends for actors and tech/production staff start at $125.
Major roles are usually at $200.
Mapleleaf supports and practices open casting based on
experience, talent and training: all roles are open to
all colors / ethnic origins. People of diversity are
encouraged to audition.
Auditions are by appointment -- appointments are
available for this tuesday (May 8th) in Willoughby.

THE LOBBY HERO is the latest play by Kenneth Lonnergan,
coauthor of the film ANALYZE THIS. After highly successful runs in
NYC(off-Broadway), Chicago and Minneapolis, this will be the Northern
Ohio premier of this new comedy.
KINGDOM OF EARTH is a captivating late Tennessee Williams small
cast play with characters reminiscent of STREECARS' Blanche Dubois
and Stanley Kowalski mixed into a Sam Shepard's BURIED CHILD
southern farm situation and setting.
The August production of David Ives 1 Acts will audition later
this month.
The Mapleleaf Theater is a non-profit, semi-professional theater
based during the summer at Harpersfield Vineyard near Madison OH.
The performances are outdoors, in an intimate cafe style setting.
It's the only theater at a working vineyard in the United States.
In it's 20th season, the theater specializes in off-beat,
unusual, and new works by American playwrights.
