Explore the use of Clown Technique to discover charcter and text. Based on
their work with master clown teachers Lenard Petit and Marolein Baars,
Catherine Albers abd Lionel Walsh will take you through a day a half of
exercises and improvs that employ clowning. This work will then be applied
to both character development and text work. No prior Chekhov training is
required. The workshop will be held on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June
22. The cost for the weekend is a total of $150.00, with a 10% discount for
members of the Cleveland Theater Collective. There is a class limit of 20.
Each person will be required to have a short (memorized) monologue to work
with and will have to bring a prop. (a broom, a handbag, a duster,
unbreakable dish, pair of 'prop' glasses, etc.) We supply the red noses!
