Zion UCC of Tremont, a small but thriving diverse, open and affirming=20
congregation, is accepting submissions from performance artists of ALL types=
=20
for it's Monthly concert series, commencing in august of 2003 and running=20
thru July of 2004.

Performers of all types (Contemporary and classical musicians, actors, spoke=
n=20
word artists, etc) are encouraged to submit proposals. Solo recitals are=20
welcome, as are large scale presentations. Student performers are also=20
welcomed to apply. Zion will provide rehearsal space, production=A0assistanc=
e,=20
publicity, reception arrangements, and depending upon repertoire and=20
scheduling, can also provide a professional accompanist at no charge.

Performances will be held in Zion UCC's newly renovated cathedral style=20
sanctuary (<A HREF=3D"www.zionchurch.org">CLICK HERE FOR PICS</A> ).This spa=
ce is acoustically and aesthetically=20
SPECTACULAR. A grand piano, organ, and Kurzweil performance synth, as well a=
s=20
some MIDI and digital recording equiptment, is available to performers.

A stipend or share of door proceeds may be available. All other proceeds=20
benefit the ministries of Zion UCC.

The series was conceived in 2002, and commenced in November on an=20
experimental basis. The inaugural performance, a recital of contemporary=20
american musical theatre and cabaret music, was immensely successful.=20

Other performers that Zion UCC has hosted inculde:

=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 *William Clarence Marshall, internationally known bass-ba=
ritone,a=20
featured artist at the Metropolitan Opera House in NYC, and the star of Hal=20
Prince's Showboat (Joe) both on Broadway and National Tour.

=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 *Soprano Jennifer Lynn Rowley, recently making her debut=20=
in Cleveland=20
Opera's "Magic Flute".

=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 *The Cleveland Philharmonic orchestra, under the directio=
n of William=20
B. Slocum.

Future large scale plans include the presentation of a concert staging of=20
Adam Guettel's "Myths and Hymns", as well as an inter-denominational holiday=
=20
presentation of Handel's Messiah.
