"I am a devilish fellow, who has mastered many arts," August Strindberg
(1849-1912)

"The Father", written in 1887, is considered the first modern drama in
history and it profoundly influenced other playwrights, including Eugene
O'Neill, Samuel Beckett, Edward Albee, Eugene Ionesco and many others. The
play stresses critical psychological issues, as well as situational and
social issues of a military officer and his family. Please join us for a
battle of the sexes and one of the most harrowing depictions of insanity in
all of literature.

The cast includes Bodwin husband and wife team, Artistic Director Peter
Manos and Artistic Associate Sandra Manos. Peter appears as the Cavalry
Captain and tormented father, while Sandra Manos plays his wife Laura. Other
cast members include Peg Buerkel, Kevin Cronin, Tony Walsh and Betsy Hogg.

Notre Dame College, in South Euclid, Ohio, is located at 4545 College Road
off Green Road, just north of Cedar Road. To confirm attendance, call
