[NEohioPAL]Performance Artists wanted for June 20 Downtown Festival

Sparx in the City is looking for performance artists to participate in an 
upcoming event - "Cleveland's on Fire"  - an event in support of the day-long 
painting of  fire hydrants by local Ohio artists along Euclid Avenue from Star 
Plaza to Public Square on Friday, June 20.  Performers are needed between the 
hours of 11 am and 2pm and again in the evening between the hours of 5pm and 
9pm. 

By handling all the permits and logistics for performers to be legally on the 
sidewalks, Sparx in the City organizers are creating opportunities for 
artists to gain a larger audience and develop future business.  A small honorarium 
is being offered and select artists are also encouraged to "open their hats" to 
 the public and accept tips.

Performance artists of all cultural backgrounds and ethnic groups  - 
musicians, dancers, actors, magicians, jugglers - community groups (just to name a 
few) are ALL encouraged to audition to participate.
