This session is designed to bring together many of the experts who spoke at
previous seminars as well as new experts with individual artist
entrepreneurs. The first part of the evening will be allocated to
networking and the second part to facilitated breakout sessions.
The clinic will provide attendees with the opportunity to network with other
artists and business people and to build their networking skills in a
relaxed and safe environment. Business experts confirmed to attend to date
include: Brian Schriefer, Brian Shriefer CPA; Susie Frazier Mueller, visual
artist; Les Roberts, writer; Mary Brown, Mary Brown Unlimited; Carl
Kotheimer, Consolidated Risk Management; Members of Volunteer Lawyers for
the Arts; Joan Saks, consultant; John Renner, US Small Business
Administration.
The breakout sessions will be facilitated by appropriate business experts,
many of whom were panelists or presenters for previous workshops. These
sessions will give participants the opportunity to learn from each other and
the experts by discussing issues they experience in the business practice
areas and ask specific questions about starting or growing an arts-related
business. During each session three breakouts will occur:
