SUBJECT: NORTH CANTON PLAYHOUSE TO PRESENT FIELD TRIP PRESENTATION OF “THE ORPHAN TRAIN”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The North Canton Playhouse, Center for the Performing Arts, will bring history to life with a special field trip presentation of “The Orphan Train”. The Orphan Train Movement took place in the United States from 1854-1929. During these years over 250,000 children , mostly from New York City, were  relocated to homes in the west and midwest. Some children found happiness with their new families, others did not. Their stories will be portrayed in a one hour presentation, which will be followed by a discussion. Performance dates are April 16th & 17th at 10:00 am in Hoover Hall, located inside Hoover High School. Hoover High School is located at 525 7th St NE North Canton. All tickets are $3.
