 =B3WIZARDS OF ACOUSTIC GUITAR=B2
ON JUNE 18

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH - Cain Park=B9s 2003 Cabaret Series continues with =B3The
Wizards of Acoustic Guitar=B2 featuring the artistic guitar stylings of Brian
Henke, Michael Kelsey, and Jim Volk on Wednesday, June 18, at 7:30pm in the
Alma Theater. Tickets for each Alma Cabaret are $14 in advance, $16
day-of-show. The three artists are the second performance of the 2003
Cabaret Series which presents show tunes, jazz ensembles, acoustic
collectives, and more in the intimate, 262-seat Alma Theater.

With a guitar style ranging from folk to neo-classical to new age,
Clevelander Brian Henke, writes and performs music as if he is painting
with images, textures, and colors. Having opened for such performers as
John Prine, Yes, and Linda Ronstandt, he has performed in over 30 states.
Michael Kelsey extracts a depth, range of sound, and feeling that few find
from the guitar. He has toured nationally as an opening act for groups suc=
h
as Blind Melon and Dishwalla. Slaying metal-heads and wanna-bees with his
acoustic guitar, Jim Volk won the crown as Austin, Texas=B9s 1994 KLBJ Guitar
Wars Champion. Now rocking in Cleveland=B9s active acoustic scene, Volk give=
s
ecstasies and sorrows a voice through his guitar.

The Cabaret Series continues with =B3What the World Needs Now is Love,=B2
featuring Cleveland native and national recording artist Laura Theodore, on
June 20, followed by =B3Amor=B2 on June 24 starring Cynthia O=B9Connell on a
musical journey through adventures of the heart. On July 1, =B3Circa 1939=B2
brings a return to the Golden Age of American popular music performed by
veteran Cain Park performers Joan Ellison and Mark Flanders. The series
continues on July 2 with Damaris Peters Pike impersonating Bob Hope=B9s wife
Dolores and sharing songs and =B3Thanks for the Memories=B2 from Hope=B9s
legendary career. =20

Celebrating peoples=B9 struggles and triumphs in life and love =B3At the Same
Time=B2 on July 5 features Adina Bloom, Sandra Emerick , Keith Gerchak, David
Robeano, and Tina D. Stump. The series continues on August 5 with a
celebration of George and Ira Gershwin=B9s music in =B3Gershwin Swings! Girl
Crazy in Concert=B2 featuring Ernie Krivda=B9s Swing City Band, radio
personality Bill Rudman, and singers Tony Sias, Evelyn Wright, and Erin
Kufel. The final Cabaret show of the season on August 12, =B3Modern Acoustic
Music Collective=B2, features acoustic music by Cleveland=B9s Doug Wood,
