The Cleveland Writer's Theatre, northeast Ohio's newest theater company =
emphasizing the work of local playwrights, presents its premier =
production of "Optimus Prime for President" written by Margi Herwald, =
directed by Derek Koger.

After a baseball game at Jacobs Field, six friends get together and talk =
about the important things in life; cartoons, baseball, and =
relationships. But when one of them is faced with a major crisis, will =
her friends be there in her time of need? A look at love, friendship, =
and pop culture in today's age.=20

The Cleveland Writer's Theatre is committed to developing the work of =
local playwrights and bringing them to area theater professionals and =
the general public. Each performance is feedback driven, helping the =
writer develop the play further.

"Optimus Prime for President" will be performed one night only on August =
24 at 8:00 pm=20

at The Second City theater located on E. 14 St. After the show, there =
will be a feedback session with the writer, director, and cast.
