Fine Arts Association in Willoughby announces their 2003/2004 Theatre
Season.

“Civilization’s dramatic canon hopes to, and must, entertain, provoke, alarm
and inspire.  It is with these ideas in mind that I set out to assemble the
2003-2004 Theatre Performance Season.” -- Fine Arts Association, Theatre

The Season includes:
  a.. The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.  November 21-December 14 Directed
by Janet Shank
Dorothy, Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Toto take a magical adventure
down the yellow brick road to Emerald City.  A family classic sure to lift
you up and take you "Over the Rainbow!"
  b.. True West by Sam Shepard.   January 30-February 21
Directed by Fabio Polanco
Desperate and broke, Lee, a half-drunk, belligerent drifter, pays an
unexpected visit to his younger brother Austin, an aspiring Hollywood
screenwriter who is house-sitting for their mother.  An ode to sibling
rivalry, this intense comedy hurtles towards an explosive high-noon
showdown.
  c.. Charlotte's Web by Joseph Robinette, adapted from the book by E.B.
White   March 5-14  Directed by Sandy Kosovich Peck and Performed by the
Yarnell Youth Theatre Company
The beloved tale of Wilbur, Charlotte and their journey to the County Fair.
In this story of friendship, spirit and the cycle of life, E.B. White
reminds us to open our eyes to the simple wonders around us.

The true story of the lives, service and eventual murders of three American
nuns, an American lay missionary and Salvadoran Archbishop Oscar Romero.
Drawn from their own words, this powerful musical work by multiple Tony
Award nominee, Outer Critics Circle and Obie Award winner Elizabeth Swados
is a celebration of faith, commitment, sacrifice and the resilience of the
Salvadoran people for whom Dorothy Kazel, Maura Clarke, Ita Ford, Jean
Donovan and Archbishop Romero gave their lives.

This season, the festival will showcase a recent trend in contemporary
theatre-the 10-minute play!  The broad array of styles will run from
dramatic to comedic and realistic to absurd.  This fast-paced evening will
include published plays by nationally recognized authors as well as new
plays written by local playwrights.  Ten Below is guaranteed to make your
head spin and your temperature rise.
