Tryptophan Pictures is looking to fill open roles for its full-length
feature =B3Stuart Mendelsohn and the Bluffton Grove Rabbis=B2 =AD an offbeat
mockumentary that follows an all-percussive rock cover band as they tour
Northeast Ohio in hopes of finding an approving audience.

Tryptophan will be holding auditions on Friday, August 29 from 6 =AD 8 p.m. i=
n
room 116 of the Science and Technology Building at the Cuyahoga Community
College Metro Campus (located off of Community College Avenue in downtown
Cleveland).=20

This is a non-SAG production, and the following roles are still available:

JOHN FARNSWELL =AD Late 20=B9s male. Passionate and visionary front man of the
band whose temper tantrums and obsessive carrot eating get the band into
trouble.

HAROLD B. =AD Late 20=B9s to early 30=B9s male. Mysterious band member who garner=
s
an absolute fear of interpersonal communication.

STUART MENDELSOHN =AD Late 20=B9s male. Vindictive former singer/song writer of
the original Stuart Mendelsohn and the Buffton Grove Rabbis rock band.

MARJEREEN =AD Mid-40=B9s female.  Frizzed out, oft-stoned Neo-Yippie.

MARTHA GRUBEN-FLETCHER =AD Late 20=B9s female. Head strong wife.
=20
RICHARD MCMASTERS =AD Mid-40=B9s male. Event coordinator of a senior citizen
festival.=20

MR. PAULIC =AD Late 30=B9s male. Talent show coordinator.

PEG SHANKLESTENCH =AD Late 40=B9s, early 50=B9s female. Talent show MC and
politically savvy councilwoman.

ANGRY POET =AD Early 20=B9s male. Young goth poet.

BUDDY =AD Early 30=B9s male. Gruff, tattooed owner of a dive bar.

EXTRAS =AD There are numerous extra roles available for actors of all ages.
Below are some of the major ones with speaking roles that we=B9d also hope to
fill at these auditions:

Lethargic hotel attendant =AD Late teens female
Punk skate boarders =AD 13-16 year old males
Goth artists =AD Early 20=B9s males or females
Tap dancers =AD 8 =AD 10 year old females
Grungy bar patrons =AD males and females 20-40
Several senior citizens

The auditions will be on a first come first served basis. Please bring alon=
g
a photo (preferably a head shot) and a brief list of credits with your
contact information. Actors will be asked to present a two =AD three minute
comedic monologue and may be asked to briefly read with a cast member.
Actors of all experience levels are welcome.

Actors who win parts will be compensated with a free DVD copy of the movie,
a t-shirt, a profile page on the official movie Web site and a percentage o=
f
film festival monetary awards (if any are won).

Shooting for the movie will begin on Friday, September 19, 2003.
