I posted an ad on this listserv last week saying that I was looking for
a pianist and I was overwhelmed with the amount of responses that I
received! (Not that that's a bad thing..!) I have met more musicians and
exchanged more information about gigs and ideas for music in the past
week than in the few months I've been back home since graduating
college. After talking to a lot of these musicians, I came to the
realization that we need some sort of a website that can serve as an
information resource for musicians here in northern Ohio. So on that
note. INTRODUCING....

The Northern Ohio Musicians Network!

        This is a yahoo based group where members can view other member
info, share important online links, chat, post messages to each other
and share media files (but not those pesky copy written files that the
RIAA is so unhappy about :-)). I hope this group can serve all levels of
musicians from church choir singers to professional musicians and be an
open forum to discuss any topic from "How much should I charge for
this?" to "Is _______ a good place to play?". Maybe you can even find a
sub for a gig here! So surf on over there and sign up and start sharing
