KeyBank Volunteers Help at Dobama Theatre During The Bank’s Annual
“Neighbors Make The Difference Day”

On Tuesday, September 9, ten volunteers from KeyBank assisted the staff of
Dobama Theatre in Cleveland Heights with a mailing and painting of floors in
the theatre as part of its “Neighbors Make The Difference Day.”

Key Bank employees across the country take part in this day of
volunteerism, cleaning up landscaping, assembling playground equipment,
reading to children, packing food at food banks, and doing just the kind of
work Dobama needed. Dobama Theatre Managing Director Diane Shoemaker says,
“We really appreciate that members of our community are volunteering to make
a difference for an organization they believe in. Small organizations like
Dobama are often understaffed and can really use the help.”

Dobama Theatre recently opened its season with the Ohio premiere of Kimberly
Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Walter Eugene Grodzik. Known
for his plays Fuddy Meers and Wonder of the World, Lindsay-Abaire has
created a surreal and hilarious play in which the main character, Kimberly,
a teenager with a rare aging disease, may just be the sanest member of her
family. The play runs through September 28.

Special performances will include a special signed (ASL) performance on
Friday, September 12th at 8:00 p.m. and a special audio-described
performance on Sunday, September 14th at 7:30 p.m. For more information,
call Dobama at (216) 932-6838. For reservations, call Dobama’s box office
at (216) 932-3396.
