To all parties interested in independent filmmaking:
You are invited to join us once-a-month gathering of filmmakers and
friends to share and discuss about moviemaking starting:
Sunday, October 19, 2003 from 1pm to 4pm at Talkies Film and Coffee Bar
located at 2521 Market Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113-3431.

The 3 hours gathering will includde:

- Showing of local filmmakers short films and trailers plus talk with
the directors
	short films: TBA
- Special Guest Speaker: Peter John Ross of SonnyBoo Productions,
Columbus, Ohio
	Topic: using Super 8 film as an alternative to DV
Peter John Ross (director/co-writer/producer) - After being fired from a
brokerage job for his film endeavors, Ross has made over 30 movies since
1999, and has been featured in FILM THREAT, RES Magazine, Camcorder &
Computer Video magazine, Ain't It Cool News, Film & Video Magazine,
Filmson.com, LA Weekly, the Village Voice, Dynamic Graphics Magazine,
Internet Video Magazine, the Short Film Insider, Silversow.com,
Filmwatcher.com, Rewind Video Magazine, and on TECH TV. More info is

- Playing of one foreign film and talk about it's style and concept
	film: TBA

If you have a short film and it is NOT part of the upcoming 2003 Ohio
Independent Film Festival, or if you have a trailer you would like to
show to fellow filmmakers, you may submit them on VHS or DVD to me
(either in person or via snail mail) at MDI, 1265 W. 106th Street #1,
Cleveland, Ohio 44102. All films will be screened and considered, those
who are of extreme graphic (violent, sexual, etc) will not be
considered. 

Thanks to Talkies Film and Coffee Bar to provide us a venue to meet, and
we would like to encourage all to at least buy some beverages while
enjoying a 3 hours of filmmaking discussion and movie watching.
