Mather Museum tells story of Great Lakes deadliest storm in 1913

The Great Lakes have produced storms of unbelievable velocity and destruc=
tion. But the Great Storm of 1913 still has not been beat in lives lost a=
nd ships wrecked. The Steamship William G. Mather Museum is presenting th=
e dramatic talk "A Storm Like You=E2=80=99ve Never Seen Before" on Octobe=
r 22 at CanalWay Center in Cuyahoga Heights. It=E2=80=99s part of the Lan=
dlubber Series, programs offered a little further inland than the Mather=E2=
=80=99s lakefront location to make it easier for more people to attend. A=
dmission is free. Bette Lou Higgins, the artistic director of Eden Valley=
 Enterprises and master storyteller will relate the tragic tale between 6=
:30 and 7:15 PM.
CanalWay Center, in the Cleveland Metroparks=E2=80=99 Ohio & Erie Canal R=
