with cleveland Jazz Vocalist BARBARA BARRETT, keyboardist JEROME SAUNDERS, and bassist JESSE DANDY

In a special AFTERNOON performance

Vocalist Barbara Barrett, keyboard/pianist Jerome
Saunders, and upright bassist Jesse Dandy are the
primary members of Barbara Barrett's Trio. Although
now focusing on jazz and blues, Barbara's background
training includes a Bachelor's Degree from the
University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of
Music, in classical music. Her proficiency is
evidenced by her reception as a jazz vocalist now, and
by her winning a Karamu Actor's Guild Award for her
lead role in Scott Joplin's opera "Treemonisha" in
2002. Mr. Dandy has been a successful jazz bassist for
many years, having been inducted into the Alabama Jazz
Hall of Fame, and having played with Eddie Harris and
Cab Calloway. Jerome Saunders has played and studied
in New York, Boston, and France, and has played with
names like Najee and Mark Ledford, to name a few.
