The Story:

Austin is a college graduate and professional screenwriter. He is house
sitting at Mom’s near Los Angeles and working on a script he has sold to
producer, Saul Kimmer. Austin’s brother, Lee, a desert-dwelling petty thief,
drops in. He pitches his own idea for a movie to Kimmer, who then wants
Austin to junk his story and write Lee’s western tale. The third of Sam
Shepard’s “family plays,” TRUE WEST is uncharacteristically traditional in
its structure, but typically over the top in its story and style. (Note:
strong language and content)

 Production dates: January 30, 31, February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 & 21, 2004 –
8pm

 The Fine Arts Theatre Department Policy encourages non-traditional casting
for all productions.
