MEDINA COUNTY SHOW BIZ COMPANY  -  Auditions for the March production of
Lil Abner will be Sunday, December 14 from 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at
St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 400 North Broadway in Medina.  Prepare and
memorize one song and bring piano sheet music.  Accompanist will be
provided. No cassettes or CDs please.  There will also be a cold reading
from the script.  All roles are available. Production dates are: March
5, 6, 7, 12, 14, 19 & 20 at the Broadway Street Hall in Medina.   Anyone

TrueNorth Christmas Concert December 19

TrueNorth Cultural Arts will present its annual Christmas Concert on =
December 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the new Avon Lake High School Auditorium.


The concert will feature the TrueNorth Chorale and Orchestra, as well as =
the Avon Lake Men's Chorus, all under the direction of Founder / =
Director Rick Fortney. Traditional holiday classics and carols will be =
presented. John Rutter's Gloria highlights the TrueNorth Brass. In =
direct contrast to the celebration sound of the Gloria, The TrueNorth =
Chamber Singers will be singing an acapella setting of Rene Clausen's =
Magnificat. The Orchestra will be playing Christmas Festival by Leroy =
Anderson, Fantasia on Greensleeves by R. Vaughan Williams, and a King's =
Brass arrangement of Angels We Have Heard on High. The Men's Chorus will =
be singing favorites such as Silver Bells, Carol of the Bells, Jingle =
Bells, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree and Nuttin' For Christmas, just =
to name a few. The concert will close with all singing Joy to the World =
and Silent Night.


In addition to these 100 musicians, artists from ArtsTown Studios & =
Gallery will have their work on display in the lobby of the auditorium. =
ArtsTown, an arts colony, is home to 30 local artists, and will be =
collaborating / merging with TrueNorth in 2004. The official =
announcement will be made and celebrated at the concert.


Tickets for the event are $ 8.00 for general admission and $ 5.00 for =
students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased from any TrueNorth =
member, Avon Lake Men's Chorus member or by calling the TrueNorth office =

Avon Lake High School Auditorium is located at 175 Avon Belden Road in =
