Early Childhood Music Classes Resume January 10

Richard A. Fortney, Executive Director of TrueNorth Cultural Arts =
Center, announces the start of its spring 10-week session of Early =
Childhood Music classes under the direction of Mrs. Susan Vance-Koch. =
Classes will be held at the TrueNorth Studio, located in the Arts Town =
Plaza, 33483 Lake Road in Avon Lake, next to the Avon Lake Movie =
Theatre.

The Early Childhood Music classes begin Saturday morning January 10th =
continuing on Saturdays through March 13th. Classes are 30-45 minutes =
long. Parents/caregivers participate in each class with their children.

Mrs. Vance-Koch, a Childhood Music Specialist, graduated with a double =
major from Heidelberg College in both Music Education and Spanish. Susan =
received her Masters in Music from Akron University. Certified in Kodaly =
and experienced in Orff-Schulwerk and Dalcroze, Susan has taught in the =
Avon Lake Public Schools for 26 years, currently teaching at Troy =
Intermediate School. Susan also teaches guitar and piano lessons and =
performs with the TrueNorth Chorale and the TrueNorth Players.

TrueNorth's Early Childhood Music program incorporates many educational =
philosophies, providing a time for imagination, development of social =
skills and aesthetic experiences, through musical expression. The =
children and their adult partners learn and participate in rhyme songs =
(singing and instrument playing!), games, stories, movement and =
listening activities. Quality music literature is carefully selected for =
each age group. TrueNorth's goal is to awaken each child's musical =
expressiveness and intrinsic artistry.

For a listing of each age group's class time, registration forms or for =
any additional information, parents can call TrueNorth at (440) 930-7411 =
or visit the TrueNorth website at www.tnpaf.com.=20
