"CHILDREN OF EDEN"

Kent, Ohio =96 Kent State University=92s School of Theatre & Dance is in=20
search of two young actors for the production of CHILDREN OF EDEN. =20
Auditions for the roles of young Cain and Abel will be by appointment=20
only, the week of January 12 =96 17, 2004.  Children auditioning should=20
be between the ages of 6 =96 11 and have previous stage experience.  Both=
=20
roles are young boys but can be played by young girls dressed as boys. =20
The director is looking for bi-racial or Caucasian children under 4=928=94.=
=20
 Children auditioning should be able to memorize lines and music. =20
These are speaking roles.  Please call Elisabeth Madden at 330-672-0103=20

to sing with piano, bring sheet music if it is available to you, and be=20
prepared to read from the script.  Also bring a current listing of=20
previous stage experience and a photograph. =20

Directed by Terri Kent, performances of CHILDREN OF EDEN are Monday =96=20
Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 2:30 PM from February 20th =96 29th. =20
Tuesday, February 24th there is no performance.  There will also be=20
matinee performances on Wednesday, February 25th and Friday, February=20
27th at 10 AM.  Those auditioning must be able to attend all of these=20
performances.  Children would be called to rehearsals for no more than=20
4 nights per week.  Children would be expected to attend all rehearsals=20
during tech week beginning, Sunday, February 15th until opening Friday,=20
February 20th.=20

 CHILDREN OF EDEN is =93a joyous and inspirational musical about parents,=

children and faith=85not to mention centuries of unresolved family=20
business!  Freely based on the story of Genesis, Children of Eden is a=20
frank, heartfelt and often humorous examination of the age-old conflict=20
